Winners of the Holiday Decorating Contest
Description: Number of Pictures: of
The South Glens Falls Village Enhancement Awards were
presented on November 16 at the Village Board meeting. We want to thank
these winners for making our village a proud place to live. Each winner
received a $50 gift certificate. The winners were: Sorrentino's Market for
the businesses; Betty and Bill Tranowicz, Jack and Anne Celeste, and the
Fitzgibbon Family for individuals.
Gift certificates were donated by Maude's Kitchen, TD
Banknorth, and Sorrentino's Market, Touch of an Angel donated a silk wreath.
Thank you to all who participated and voted, and look for next years contest
information coming in the fall. There is an
updated poster in the Village Office displaying these homes.
Parks Bentley Upcoming Events
February 17th General Moreau's Birthday Bash from
1-3pm with free admission.
March 24th- Souper Saturday from 11-3 come and enjoy
a variety of soups for only $5 each person. This is a unique chance to
taste local soups from the area, everyone is invited.

recognition, call the village office. This is decided by "drive bys" only.
An address can only receive one award, for this reason, a
winner can proudly display their award sign indefinitely.
Christmas Wreaths
The committee is working on the possibility of improving
our Christmas decorations.
Benches
There will be 4 - 6 new benches planned for the walkway
to Coopers Cave. Call the Village office if you have an interest in a bench
and memorial plaque.
We have two new members as a result of the Enhancement
Awards. We welcome Elaine Kerner and Peter Moskow. Other members include Pat
Cleland-Blinn, Faith Bouchard, JoEllen McGuire, Pam Dragon, Colleen Corcoran
and Mary Lou Munger. Ed LaFave is our liaison to the Village Board.
